Keep it simple
Why employ me?
Make sure you’re noticed for the right reasons rather than the wrong ones.
‘Write to communicate what’s burning inside you.
Edit to let the fire show through the smoke.’
My articles on travel and culture appear online and in print – published under my pen name of Anne Coombes.
Take a peek at a sample selection – listed under ‘Travel Writing’ in the upper menu – and on my blog page.
I’ve also updated several travel guides for Dorling Kindersley and wrote the Belarus edition for the Culture Smart series.
Drop me a line if you’d like me to write for you.
I copy-edit for a weekly newspaper and monthly magazine, and work freelance for the UNDP, UNICEF and the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation (IFC), specialising in styling reports written by non-native English speakers.
I style English text to be attractive and natural (particularly that written by non-native speakers). I concentrate on the heart of the message. Naturally, grammar, spelling and punctuation are dealt with in a trice.
Let me know if I can help your English text to sparkle.
I’ve taught English as a foreign language to non-native speakers of all ages. My career also features almost 13 years of primary school teaching – in the UK and Ghana. This helps me understand some of the common grammatical mistakes made by non-native speakers of English in their writing.
